Terms of Service

Governing law: Singapore · Last updated 2026-06-24

1. Acceptance

By using flowaiapi.com ("the Service", "we", "us") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Flow AI is an OpenAI-compatible API gateway that routes each request to the cheapest capable commercial AI model provider ("Upstream Providers", currently including DeepSeek and MiniMax). We do not provide AI models ourselves; all inference is performed by Upstream Providers under their own terms. You may pin a specific model or let our router choose; the routing decision is returned with every response.

2a. Operator network & eligible traffic

Some non-sensitive, latency-tolerant requests may be served by independent third-party operators ("Operators") running open-source models on their own machines, in exchange for credits. Operators are verified and reputation-scored, but they are not employees or agents of Flow AI. We never dispatch a request to an Operator if it is flagged as containing secrets or personal data, or if your account or key is set to "trusted sellers only"; such traffic is served only by first-party Upstream Providers or by your own connected keys. Every response's _flowaiapi metadata indicates which provider or operator served the request and how it was routed. You can force first-party-only routing at any time from your dashboard.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to enter contracts. If using the Service for an organization, you represent that you may bind it to these Terms.

4. Accounts & API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API keys secure and for all activity and charges on your account. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, infringe IP, produce malware or instructions for wrongdoing, harass or harm others, circumvent billing or rate limits, or resell the Service without written permission. If you connect your own provider plan or API key, you do so for your own use and only where your provider's terms permit it (see the Acceptable Use Policy, §3). Upstream Providers have their own acceptable-use policies; by routing to a provider you agree to comply with the policies that apply to it. Full details are in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Membership, payment & billing

Failed-attempt charges. Providers meter the tokens they process even when a request errors. When Flow AI retries or fails over across providers to complete your request, you are billed only the underlying provider cost of tokens actually consumed on those attempts — with no Flow AI fee — and this failure cost is capped per request (Flow AI absorbs any excess). Each response discloses the amount as failed_attempt_cost_usd.

New accounts get a 7-day free trial during which no subscription is required. After the trial, an active membership ($4.99/month or $45/year) is required to transact. Usage is pay-as-you-go: you maintain a prepaid balance and pay each model's pass-through cost plus a flat 2.5% spread. Charges are in USD. Usage credit and membership fees are non-refundable except as required by law and as described in our Billing & Refund Policy; usage credit has no cash value and expires 12 months after purchase. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Upstream provider risk

Upstream Providers may change terms, pricing, or availability, throttle our traffic, or go offline. We are not liable for disruptions caused by Upstream Providers and will make commercially reasonable efforts to route around them (automatic failover to the next capable provider).

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but provide no SLA in this version. The Service degrades gracefully — if a provider is unavailable, requests route to the next capable one rather than failing.

9. Intellectual property

We retain rights to the Service, our routing technology, dashboard, and branding. You retain rights to your prompts and to outputs generated for you (subject to upstream terms). Feedback you give us may be used to improve the Service.

10. Disclaimers & liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the Service is uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI outputs are accurate or fit for any purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months or USD $100, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Payment, IP, disclaimer, and liability provisions survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore.
